Maria M. Chester, RN, BSN, OCN, CCRP
Managing Partner
Maria has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare, and over a decade of experience in clinical research. Before serving as a Managing Partner at C&S, she was Vice President of Operations at a clinical trial consulting firm that serviced over a dozen large institutions. Maria began her career in clinical research at the LSUHSC Scott Cancer Center as the Lead CRA for the MB-CCOP as well as Research Nurse at Ochsner Medical Center-Kenner, then Clinical Research Director for a 3-hospital consortium. She holds a BSN from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.
Steven M. Sands, CPC, CPCO
Managing Partner
Steven has spent the better part of the last decade working as a clinical research professional. He began his career as a study coordinator at a community oncology practice, then moved onto a mid-sized CRO where he served as a protocol monitor/ data manager. He worked for the University of Maryland Medical System as a study coverage and compliance analyst, and finally as a senior research financial specialist for a research consulting firm. Steven holds BS in biochemistry, certifications in medical coding and compliance, and has significant experience in clinical trial finance
